Is PF Mandatory?

Dear Seniors,
As per the new ceiling limit of PF it is mandatory to opt in PF for those whose basic salary is less than 15,000/-.
My query is : Is it mandatory to opt in PF for those employees also who had in any of his previous organisation had opted PF and basic salary is more than 15,000/-?
Please advice me the Section no. also.

Yes PF contribution is mandatory for the employees who are drawing basic 15000 or below.
If any of the employees who's Basic is above 15000/- & if at all he didn't have PF in earlier organisation then it is optional. In this case you can take the declaration form

Yes, for anyone who has an existing PF account, it is necessary to deduct PF
the exemption applies only for those who do not have an existing PF account.

My query is, if a person had a EPF member earlier and he had withdrawn EPF and even FPF. Now if he joins with new establishment and his /her basic+ da more than Rs. 15000/- , under the circumstances whether he/she is liable for EPF benefit ? Whether new employer has to deduct EPF on 15000/- ?

In your case PF is not mandatory. If both employee & employer are wiling to contribute then sure you can else not mandatory

In this case, you can claim exemption by filing form 11
The condition is starting salary above 15000 (basic + DA)
And no existing PF account
