I my self not using Facebook for any kind of recruitment up till now. But yes I agree that we can try for frontline vacancy because these kind of people will be more found on Facebook rather than Linkedin.
However I do recruitment through linkedin almost 80%. It is very useful. You can use Advance search for your criteria and search people through linkedin.
For Example: If I am looking for Business Development profile I will search for "Business Development" + "City name"
Now this will show the results of various industries you can search from it.
Other way you search from company name and designation.
Now a days people are updating their profile very soon. So you will find updated details of the candidates.
Send them connections first and then personalized message regarding your requirement. People will revert you or else provide references.
