I would like to know from all the HR experts if it is compulsory to give a performance appraisal/ex-gratia to an employee who resigns from the job. The process had been delayed; the appraisals were due in June but were completed in August. The arrears have been paid to all the other employees, but one employee resigned in August, and we decided not to give her any increment or ex-gratia.
I would like to know if there are any legal implications if we don't pay.
Regards,
Mousmi
