We are faced with a very strange situation in our organisation. We have a internal Association which is recognised by management and is also registered. Our
COD was due for discussion with management but Association refused to engage with management on grounds that panel constituted by Association had name
of one of terminated employee and management refused to accept this name . This lead to situation whereby Association called off negotiations with negotiating team.
Employees seeing this stalement decided to form a commitee and enter into negotiations of COD directly. This consent was given by all serving employees of organisation and 98%
have given their consent to the terms agreed in COD.
Now seeing this trend GS of association has decided to affiliate our internal association with Trade union of Political party which has been opposed by all members. and as result majority
have resigned in protest.
Association has substential funds with it which can be misused by existing members(just 10-15 ) and employees want to stop them from doing this.
Please suggest any remedy available. Removing GS isnt possible bcos of his intimidating tactics(He himself has been terminated).
Any suggestion to solve this impass will be welcomed
