Before you need to have a requirement policy, you need to determine the current and estimated manpower required in your current setup. After you prepare the same:
- You need to plan out the recruitment sources.
- Estimate the Annual Recruitment cost and get it approved by the management.
- Find all possible recruitment sources for the required manpower.
- For a manufacturing setup requiring technical or skilled labor, you need to have a specified recruitment and selection process. Most manufacturing setups use Technical tests followed by technical interviews, then HR and general rounds of interviews. There should also be a probation period for this kind of setup.
The policies must be foolproof and thoroughly reviewed before finalizing.
