Can I Log An F.I.R. For A Person Who Is Not Giving My Money From 2 Months

I got my first salary, and a girl working with me asked me for the money, saying that she met with an accident and is involved in a police case. I gave her 7000/- to help her. She promised me that she would give it back in 2 days, but that day never came. I informed her parents about it. The girl has left the job and has taken money from other people as well, but I was the one who gave her this amount just to help her. Her parents are also not helpful. What should I do? In fact, your post does not fall in the HR category, but with the intention to share my comments on your question:

You, as the victim, never file an FIR. You can file a complaint with the police station regarding the cheating. An FIR, which stands for First Information Report, is a written document prepared by the police upon receiving information from the victim of a cognizable offense or someone acting on their behalf.

When filing a complaint with the police, no one can stop you, but you should have evidence that you have been cheated. Please bear in mind, one should think a thousand times before going to the police station, court, advocate, doctor, etc. I understand that some learned members may object to this statement.

While in this specific case it is for the OP to decide, I feel one should always take recourses available, and well in time. A stitch in time saves nine! It is because one tries to take shortcuts - or forget injustice altogether - that ultimately the bigger crimes happen. Yes, of course, it is not easy - as is most of life. Just my opinion.
