I am writing this question to understand if there is any effective solution that anyone can kindly give to me. The problem is as follows:
Career Challenges and Gaps
I passed my B.Tech in 2008 and secured above 60% throughout. I was recruited by one of the top MNCs from campus but was asked to leave due to a recession after a period of 4 months. I had included this experience in my resume, but I felt that it was perceived negatively in the market, so I removed it.
Regaining from this setback, I joined a small startup in 2009 and worked for 9 months. However, they did not pay me for the last 6 months, so I had to quit in mid-2010, and they did not provide me with any documents. As a result, I do not have any proper documentation for that period, and I cannot show this on my resume.
After that, I prepared for the CAT and got into a college for an MBA in August 2011. I completed my MBA in August 2013 but unfortunately was not placed from campus. In September 2013, I joined another small company and quit recently on 3rd September 2014. I left this job mainly because I want to get into analytics and have been doing a course in analytics for the past 4 months; 2 more months are left to complete.
Now the problem is that I cannot show any experience from 2008 to August 2011, almost 3 years. On the positive side, this present company appreciated my hard work, and even the director of the company said that I can use his reference if required.
Now, this analytics course placement officer tells me that it might be hard to place me as I have almost a 3-year gap after my graduation.
Also, I am thinking that I have left this job to effectively complete this course and, at the same time, sit for some certification exams, which is not possible if I am working.
Now I want to know if there is any idea to cover up this time between 2008 to 2011, or should I go for fake experience.
Please don't suggest that it is unethical to fake experience, as I have tried to avoid faking for the last 6 years and faced a lot of unethical things from companies themselves. I have more than 8 lakhs of loans on me, and I need to do something quickly. Therefore, rather than asking me to be ethical, please suggest a way to fake effectively or some good cover-up.
