Am I Still Eligible for My Retention Bonus if I'm Asked to Leave Before a Year?

I joined a company around 11 months ago, and as per my contract, I was supposed to receive a retention bonus of INR 50,000 after one year. I have completed 11 months now, and due to restructuring within the organization, the company is asking me to leave. I am wondering if I would still be eligible for this retention bonus.

Additionally, I have a 2-month notice period remaining. My one year will be completed after this month. Would these 2 months be considered part of the one-year period as mentioned in my contract?

Yes, your notice period should be considered, and you will be eligible for a retention bonus, subject to the clause of your employment agreement.

Thank you very much, Jitender, for your prompt response. As far as the terms and conditions are concerned, it simply states that the retention bonus will be paid only after one year. There are no specific clauses mentioned as such.

Our company pays an annual employee retention award to tool makers and designers. Is this amount covered under ESIC and PF?
