I have been working in an institute for the past 10 years, and now they have terminated me without any notice. I want to know if it is legal and if I will get my gratuity or not.

However, since it was a semester break and no classes were being conducted, my absence would not affect the department. I had previously been issued a show cause notice for minor mistakes, but now, after 10 years of service, they have terminated me without any notice period.
