Dear Sirs,
I have been working in a power plant for 2 years and 3 months. However, the company's management has been harassing me since the 1st of August 2014 (for the past month).
- The company has not provided my salary for the previous month, i.e., July 2014, while all other employees received their salaries on the 5th of August 2014.
- The company is preventing me from entering the plant premises by using force, with the assistance of security personnel, without providing any reason. Consequently, I am unable to continue my job and also unable to register my attendance.
- I have been receiving continuous phone calls from the HR department, where they are pressuring me to resign. Additionally, they have threatened to tarnish my career by terminating me with false allegations if I do not resign.
- They have not been responding to my emails, which I have been continuously sending to both the HR department and the CEO of the company.
- I lodged a complaint against this situation with the Assistant Labour Commissioner on the 11th of August 2014 (18 days ago), but I have not received any notice yet. When I approached the Assistant Labour Commissioner, she also tried to persuade me to resign and resolve the issue outside, as it may take 5 to 10 years in the labor court if she escalates the matter. When I asked for my case number, she refused to provide it.
- At times, they verbally informed me that my service was terminated by the company since the 31st of July 2014. However, I have not been formally informed about this termination at any point during my employment. No information, letter, or notice regarding this termination has ever been given to me, and I have not agreed to or signed any document related to it.
Therefore, I am seeking expert advice on the actions that should be taken against this company.
