HOW TO CREATE EMAIL ID BY THE COMPANY NAME FOR Employees

Dear sir,

Kindly suggest how to create an email ID for a public limited newly set up company. To whom should we approach to generate email IDs by the company name? What will be the main server for these email IDs? Are these IDs linked with the company's website? How do we control spam? If we are sending any mail to others, how can they download the attachments?

Kindly solve my above-mentioned problem.

Vaishali - The process is that a domain name is purchased and set up on a server, either internal or a hosting provider (I prefer a hosting provider since that eliminates hardware/server costs). Depending on your server OS, the email id is configured. Email IDs are best 'first name (dot) last name' but some use 'first name (dot) last initial' or a combination of methods. The IT team usually restricts mailbox size - that is the size of attachments and storage space on the messaging server, based on roles/responsibilities and grants access to webmail or webmail/mobile interface, again based on need.

Although Rediffmail is cheaper, it is not good. I'm currently using it and they only provide basic features for 790 Rs.
