Employer Threaten To Relieve

Hi
I am working as a Software Engineer. I have submitted by resignation through e-mail with 45 days notice period and requested to adjust 10 days shortfall in notice period from my full & final accounts. The resignation was sent to Sr. Manager . But Sr. Manager responded saying that my resignation cannot be accepted at this stage of the project and they asked me to complete some new tasks within notice period otherwise they wont accept my resignation.
I have a good offer on hand which I accepted and need to leave the present company and i should join in new company within 10 days. But the present company is not relieving me. so what i have to do now, how i ll over come from this issue, please solve my issue, Thanks & Regards

Hi,
1.you need to serve 45 days notice period as per the company policy.
2. you need to discuss with your offered company saying that you have to serve 45 days notice period.
3. That totally depends on the management they will consider shortfall or not, so better to complete notice period and clear the things with offered company about your notice period.
4.personally request the management to consider the shortfall may be look at humanity they consider.

If you have a project which is not yet completed, how can the employer relieve in between the project. You need to complete the project handled by you within the notice period.
