Day One As New Hr Cordinator

I have been practicing Administration for the past 4 years, though my educational background is public relations. For the mean time i have been executing little bit of HR related duties.
Subsequently, i have gotten a new job as an HR manager in a newly setup.
My question is i want to know the very first thing i should outline in my first day of work. Your response will be appreciated.

Hi Dear,

First of all Congrats on getting new job.

First day at a new job place is very interesting as well as full of curiosity and nervousness.First impression is the last impression.

Moreover You are in Hr so you will the center of news to all employees.You are professional with a very good experience so we dont need to teach you about dressing.I will simply advise to be smiling,look interested in knowing new persons and assure every person that you are also a part of their team.

As you are in new set up..tell them the benefits and objectives of HR.How will you work with them,for them.

Arrange a 1 to 1 session with all employees to know them better apart from this try to understand your job profile from the very first day.So that management have a positive impression for you.Also discuss about manpower planning it will have professional impact.

Try to check HR related files and maintain them.Dont over indulge yourself in work or over introduction.Be formal look cheerful and talk to management in day end.Dont discuss any serious issue on very first day..

My heartiest wishes and congrats !
The first and foremost important role varies with respect to the organasation and the situation.But i feel you can start with the basic requirements.
If its an SME then please do yourself to understand every employee and know each other , have a better rapport to make sure that will help you to move ahead. ( the strategy is go through every one file and understand their profile)
Keep a close watch and understand about them well.
As being the role is very critical and centric role of an organasation , its possible that people may think that you are biased with certain people so remove that mind set.
understand the HR policies what is implemented in your organasation and how effective it is. Caused HR is the one of the KEY role to play in an organasation growth.

Also, after one month I will be posted to head a new branch in october,However, do you think it will be appropriate to hold a meeting with my staffs when am posted for them to know the reasons why am there. 2. will it be appropriate and professional for me to outline my measures such as not entertaining lateness,absenteesim,fighting,abandoning work .Just to mention a few. I Will be counting on you as usual.
