Career Transition Challenges in a New Role

I have 2 years of experience in Manufacturing and Automobile Dealership as an HR Admin Executive, and I have completed my MBA in HR. Currently, I have joined a reputed Contractor Construction company as a Site Admin Officer. However, I feel that working here as a site admin poses many challenges such as dealing with the police, corporation issues, and working more than 12 hours a day.

I am struggling to understand the job profile as I previously handled a Generalist role, but here I am only dealing with police and corporation issues. Can I change my current job while considering these factors for my career growth?

Shifting to the construction contractor was a blunder on your part. Please look forward to the next possible opportunity to change. You may have to explain in the interview why you decided to shift to the contractor, so be prepared to explain satisfactorily.

You joined a construction company as an Admin Executive and simultaneously pursued an MBA in HR. Now that you have completed your course, I believe that during your tenure in the construction business, you have gained a lot of experience, mostly in administrative jobs and to some extent in HR activities. So, don't regret or be upset at this point in time. These experiences will definitely help you from a career point of view in the future, without a doubt. It is not a blunder, but by virtue of your destiny, you have joined a construction company.

Please look for a suitable opportunity since you are now a qualified MBA in HR. Prepare a modified CV, making it attractive, and at the same time, learn more about HR to face interviews. Remember, merely passing an MBA will not be the main criterion for getting a job in HR, but your presentation about job knowledge in HR & Admin before the interview board/prospective employer will be important as they will assess you while selecting you.

Be cheerful and try your level best for a suitable change for future growth.
