Amendments to Telangana Shops & Establishments Act, 1988 - Notification

Exemption for IT, ITES Establishments from Certain Provisions Under Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988

The Government of Telangana, via notification no G.O.Ms.No. 25, hereby exempts all Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) and Information Technology Establishments in Telangana State from the provisions concerning opening and closing hours, daily or weekly hours of work, special provisions for young persons, special provisions for women, and other holidays under the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988. This exemption is granted for a period of five (5) years with effect from 30.05.2018, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notifications attached.

Telangana Shops Permitted To Remain Open 365 Days A Year Extended To Three Years

The Government of Telangana, via notification no. G.O. Ms. No. 24, in reference to the previous notification G.O. Ms. No. 51, L.E.T. & F. (Lab) Department dated 16th June 2016, has further exempted all establishments to remain open on all days of the year in Telangana State for a further period of three (3) years with effect from 16.06.2019. The exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification being fulfilled by the establishments; failure to meet these conditions will result in the granted exemption being liable for cancellation.
