To suffix a number with specific text without using a formula in Excel, you can follow these steps:

1. Manual Method:
- Select the cell where you want to add the text suffix to the number.
- Press F2 to enter the cell editing mode.
- Type the desired text directly after the number without using any formula.
- Press Enter to save the change.

2. Custom Format:
- Select the cell or range of cells containing the numbers.
- Right-click and choose "Format Cells."
- In the Format Cells dialog, go to the Custom category.
- In the Type box, enter the format code by adding the text in double quotes followed by the number format. For example, to add "ABC" after the number, you can use the format code: `0 "ABC"`.
- Click OK to apply the custom format.

3. Copy-Paste Special:
- Copy the cell containing the number.
- Right-click on the destination cell and choose Paste Special.
- In the Paste Special dialog, select "Values" and click OK.
- Manually type the text suffix in the destination cell.
