Hi all, I would like to know how many months of PF contribution are required for expats to become eligible to claim their provident fund. Is it the same as for others?

The member has completed 6 months for the Withdrawal Benefit. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hi, the employee should contribute for at least 6 months.

Provident Fund Withdrawal for Expats

For expats, the Provident Fund (PF) can only be withdrawn after retirement. If PF is deducted and there is a Social Security Agreement (SSA) between that country and India, the PF can be withdrawn as per the SSA. If they have produced a Certificate of Coverage (COC), the PF will not be deducted in India.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi all, I joined an organization three years ago and worked there for only seven months due to some problems, which prevented me from continuing. Now, I want to withdraw my PF amount. Is it possible now that I have left the job (7th July 2011)?

Thank you for your suggestion. I have another doubt. If an employee joins a new firm on the 25th or in the middle of the month, are they eligible to have PF deducted from their salary? Is there a minimum number of working days required for PF deductions to be made?
