Recently, on July 19th, I attended an interview for the position of .Net Developer at an MNC located in Chennai. I cleared two rounds of technical discussions, and the project manager informed me that I was selected. He mentioned that he would provide positive feedback to HR about me and advised me to discuss further with HR.
During the HR round, she mentioned that I received good feedback, and we discussed details about the internal project I was selected for (which is expected to start within a month), benefits, expected salary, and notice period. She prefers me to join within 30 days, but my actual notice period is 45 days, so I mentioned the buyout option. She also asked for my personal details and requested my last 3 months' salary slips. She mentioned that I could expect a follow-up call on July 21st (Monday) to discuss the breakup plan further.
However, I have not received any response from her via email or phone until now. I reached out to her twice via email on July 22nd and 28th, and I called her twice on July 23rd and 30th. Initially, she asked for a day to wait for management approval. When I followed up today, she mentioned she was on medical leave and requested more time to update me.
I have doubts about whether I have been rejected for the position. I am concerned about the prolonged processing time. Am I being bothersome to HR? Am I still being considered for the position? She seems to avoid spending even 2 minutes speaking with me, always asking for more time. Could the delay indicate that I am not selected?
If I do not receive any response from her, should I call her back? Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
