Anjusha.k.v
For the past 6 months, I have been working as an HR recruiter. I want to enhance my knowledge in HR generalist roles. Can anybody suggest what I should learn in-depth to become a proficient HR professional?

Thank you.

First of all, I would like to suggest that to become a good HR Generalist, one has to be proficient in all segments of HRM (Human Resource Management) and HRD (Human Resource Development).

Stages of the HR Cycle

Following are the stages of the HR Cycle one should learn in depth to be a good HR professional:
- Manpower planning
- Budgeting
- Need Analysis
- Recruitment
- Induction
- Pay-rolling
- Statutory Compliance
- Competency Mapping
- Performance Review
- Grievance Handling
- Appraisal & Exit Interviews assessment
