One of my friend was working for very small IT company(max 25 people). She was working in that company for 1.5 years. 6 months ago by mistake she deleted some client data files. All these things were happened by mistake. She didn't have any intention for any other reason.
Her Manager terminated her on same day saying that she did security violation. After that she was asking for relieving letter to them but they are saying its Data security breach and we cant give relieving letter. They are saying they will take legal action against her for mistake. She is jobless for around 6 months and other companies asking about her previous company and relieving letter. What next step should be taken?? Is there any legal way by which she can ask for relieving letter? Or file a case against them? or any other way so that she can get job.
Some info about company, The company for which she was working is not that reputed. Previously they sent her to Srilanka on tourist visa for 2 months to work on one project. (As Working on tourist visa is not allowed).
