We are all implementing the new wage ceiling from Rs 6,500 to Rs 15,000 with effect from September 2014. Being under the Shop Act, only the Basic plus DA (as per minimum wages) need to be considered.
Alternatively, do we want to consider the gross salary for the calculation for those whose salary is below Rs 15,000? What is the maximum HRA that can be included? Is it 20% of the basic only, or is it excluded?
I hope any of my friends can clarify which is to be considered - whether Basic + DA or the Gross salary.
