Facing Delays in Labor Court: How Can I Push Forward When the Other Party Stalls?

mahesh_hyd
Dear Sirs, please advise me on what to do. I have been terminated from my company but have not settled the final payments. I have approached the labor court regarding the final settlement and filed the case ex-parte. I have also engaged a lawyer and filed a counterclaim. However, the other party is continuously delaying by not filing their counterclaim, taking dates repeatedly for the last year, and dragging the case.

I consulted my lawyer about the delay in filing the counterclaim by the other party, and he advised me to wait and see. I have filed a forfeiture (fine) counterclaim, but it has not been processed yet, with the other party still delaying the filing process. What steps can I take against the other party for the delay in filing their counterclaim? Please advise me on what actions I can pursue.

Thank you.

The advocate you engaged should plead before the honorable labor court regarding the imposition of costs on the other party and the early settlement of your case. In courts, matters often remain pending, causing continued suffering for the applicants. There is no alternative in such situations but to request the court as mentioned above.
