Vignesh2412
Dear Seniors, this is Vignesh from Chennai, having 1 year of experience in the Manufacturing Industry as an HR generalist. I have a total of 2 years in HR. To become a Labour Inspector and Inspector of Factories, what should I study? I am currently studying a Diploma in Labour Law in Administrative Law. Will this be useful to apply for that post?

Please help.

As regards the post of Labour Inspector, every state sets its own norms and recognizes certain institutions for the recruitment of the officers. The basic qualifications are more or less the same for all states for the recruitment of the Labour Inspector, i.e., a degree from a university recognized by the state, a degree or diploma in social science or labor welfare, and adequate knowledge of the language spoken by the majority of the workers.
