Dear Vignesh,

You need to check the state rules for the appointment of the Labour Inspector and Inspector of Factories.Normally the officials are inducted through provincial services. The Labour Inspector and Inspector of Factories are two different streams and for them different qualifications are prescribed. As reagards the post of Labour Inspector is concerned, every state fixes their own norms and recgnised certain institutions for the recruitment of the officers. The basic qualifications are more or less same for all the states for the recruitment of the Labour Inspector i.e. a degree of university recognised by the state, a degree or diploma in social science or labour welfare and adequate knowledge of the language spoken by the majority of the workers. As reards the qualification of Inspector of Factories is concerned, a recognised degree in any branch of engineering & technology and a practical experience of working in a factory is mandatory.

You have mentioned that you are studying Diploma in Labour Law in Administrative Law.Please check whether this qualification is recognised for the recruitment of the labour inspector by your state and go ahead. Our best wishes are with you.
