I am working as a System Engineer in a company. When I joined the company, my offer letter stated that if we don't serve the notice period of 1 month, then we need to give a month's basic salary. However, now that I have resigned and informed them that I will serve a notice period of 14 days and also give my basic salary, the company is stating that the policies have changed. They now say it is compulsory to serve a notice period of 1 month, and if I do not comply, they will not release me. I have not signed or been made aware of any policy changes. What should I do in this situation? Please help me.
