Are Employers Missing Out on Incentives for Hiring Differently-Abled Workers?

There is an incentive scheme, but it is very rarely used by employers to engage differently-abled employees in private organizations. With this scheme, you can claim employers' contributions towards ESI and EPF, which can be availed for up to three years. This scheme serves as a good incentive for employers to hire more disabled individuals in their organizations.

Interestingly, a significant amount is allocated by the ministry for this purpose. However, due to a lack of awareness campaigns from the EPF/ESI authorities, this benefit is not being fully utilized in the targeted industry.

I request everyone to review the available information and start enjoying these benefits. This will not only be advantageous for the differently-abled community but also for the industry as a whole.

Hiring Differently Abled Candidates

If any firm is interested in hiring differently abled candidates who are trained to deliver, please share your interest. I met the founder of Ekansh, who trains and has placed many candidates with KFC, Bank of New York, and many manufacturing firms.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
