Please let the seniors know what is confusing you regarding the process for long-term settlement. A settlement is a settlement. There is no separate process for long-term settlement. Is it necessary to understand any practical issues that have a bearing on the process of long-term settlement that you have undertaken as HR? Or is it required for academic purposes? Or for preparing for any interview? However, the comprehensive discussions held in the past on the subject may also address your confusion, I trust.

There can't be any process flow chart with a prefixed sequence of actions. It's a process of negotiations between the two parties, involving the concept selling ability of the management to convince the other party. At most, you can collect data about recent agreements with similar industries in the region, the budget allowed by top management, and the financial burden if a certain demand amount is accepted.
