Need Information How To Calculate Annual Leave On Working Days

Regina HR
Dear All
Currently we have annual leave (paid leave) of 30 days calendar days in a year. It is calculated 2 and Half days per month and it includes the week offs. Now we wanted to change the annual leave to working days ie 22 days in a year with 8 days week offs.
I need formula to count the annual leave in every day basis.
Suppose my date of joining in the company is 20.04.14 and what will be leave balance today.
Presently when we are entering the total leave requested and leave start date system automatically calculates the end date and others.
So i need the same if we ask leave for 25 days and it should remove the week offs and total leave days should be 25 days.
Please help on this.

I don't understand your query fully, but would like to know few things from your end. 1) In 30 days leave there will be 4 week offs and not 8 week offs. 2) The system will take No. of days from the start date to the end date it will not exclude the week offs (if I am not wrong kindly consult your EDP)
With regards to formula please deduct 52 week offs from 365 days and divide the No. of days leave for the year i.e. 22 days (in your case) with 313 days
(365-52) Hope I have attempted to resolve your query to the best of my assumption.
Please wait for seniors to give their view

Dear Mr.Saji
Thanks for your reply.
Our Week off are 2 days; We are working 5 days in a week
Total no. of days in a year 365 so i have deduct 104 days as week offs then balance is 261 days.
Leave days will be 22 working days per year.
Suppose i want to take 30 days annual leave. Leave start from 01.08.14 to 30.08.14 (30 days), how system should calculate as 8 days are week offs. I need formula for this.

System will calculate from the available leave balance, there should not be a formula for taking leave. For accrual of Leaves you can put the formula as 22/261 will be leave per day the system will calculate accordingly for the No. of days worked for the year. I hope it clarifies.
