Medical Claims During Probation Period

Can a company deny a medical claim during the probation period? In my company, I have been told this as a reason. As per policy, an employee can only receive a medical claim once they are out of the probation period of 6 months.

Is that the case? Please provide the relevant information to educate my company.

Medical Benefits for Workplace Injuries

What medical benefits are available for medical expenses related to injuries that occur in the workplace? Could you provide information on the medical facilities covered in the appointment letter conditions?

It purely depends on the company management/policy whether the employee should be given a Mediclaim policy on or before confirmation. If the employee is covered under the ESIC Act, then only the employer is liable to enroll the employee upon joining. Apart from that, as pointed out by Pon, if there is any accident or injury within the company premises, during the course of work, or on the way to work, the scenario changes.
