Gunjan Sarojwal
Hi Sarojwal,

Please suggest some good gifts that can be given to employees on Diwali and other festivals.

Thanks,

Dear Sarojwal,

There are a lot of options, some of them are:
1. Give them a silver coin of Lord Ganesh & Goddess Laxmi.
2. May give them a packet of dry fruits.
3. May give them some gift vouchers.
4. May give them some gift items with the organization name printed.
5. May give them some extra incentives.
6. May give them a packet of sweets, and so on. You may give any of the items which you think would be used for the purpose of Diwali.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
Amit Seth.

Dear Citehrmember,

We gave T-shirts to all workers on Diwali in 2005. After last year's Diwali, we provided a pressure cooker, and this Diwali, we are considering giving some home useful kitchen items to the workers. Perhaps this will give you some ideas about gifts.

Greetings for the day!

I believe that whatever gifts are given to the employee staff should be irrespective of their position. However, many end up giving cheaper gifts to the lower-grade staff, which will not serve the purpose. They are the ones who need useful things the most. The upper-grade staff also receive gifts from outside associates and friends, so our gifts might not be of much importance. Whatever the case may be, the gifts should be genuinely useful to all. Perhaps a crockery set of two bowls, a set of twin jars for keeping groceries, a set of four small bowls with a tray to serve snacks, a cutlery set with spoons, forks, etc., if budget is not a problem. If you want to go for something less expensive, maybe a wall hanging, a showpiece with a watch serving a dual purpose, or the best option would be to include the amount to be spent on the gifts with the bonus so that each one can make sensible, judicious use of the money they receive. Of course, all this should be accompanied by some sweets as they signify spreading sweetness in the festivities.

Best Regards,

Chital Naresh.
