EPF Withdrawal in Gurgaon: Can You Use a Joint Account for It?

My question is just about EPF withdrawal in Gurgaon. Is a joint account acceptable for withdrawal or not? Please confirm the current position.

EPF Withdrawal and Bank Account Requirements

PF amount is transferred to an individual bank account. However, a joint account with a spouse can be accepted by PF authorities depending on whether they consider it or insist on an individual account. It is advisable to get the PF settlement in an individual bank account.

Please note that a joint bank account with a spouse is acceptable for the settlement of EPF dues, except for dependent pension payments.
