How Do You Manage Attendance in HRMS with Flexible Hours Without Daily Manual Adjustments?

Dear HR Fraternity,

Managing Attendance with Flexible Working Hours

How would you or your organization effectively manage attendance in HRMS (log-in/out time of 9 hours) if you offer flexible working hours for your employees? Employees regularizing their attendance manually almost every day is not a feasible option. It becomes challenging during payroll time.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Thanks,
Roopa

Thank you for the prompt response. We already have an HRMS (attendance management system) in place. To clarify my question, let's say that I work for 6 hours in the office and 3 hours from home. How would you capture the 3 hours in the system?

Thanks,
Roopa

Hi Roopa, as per your query, primarily, you need a flexible attendance solution wherein employees can log in either from the office or home in case of working from home. As technology is growing very fast, most of the web apps are transforming into mobile apps for easy access to end-users.

You can incorporate mobility for your employees' attendance management. To be precise, a GPS-based mobile attendance system can capture the attendance of employees from the office or home location. This will provide flexible working hours.

Employees can clock in/clock out from the office, and the system begins capturing accurate working hours. The same can be applied to employees who work from home as well.

For instance, as you mentioned, an employee can clock in from the office, work for 6 hours, then clock out from the office. Upon returning home, the employee can clock in from home, work for 3 hours, and then clock out from the mobile attendance system. Likewise, 9 working hours would be accurately captured by the Mobile Attendance System.

Hope this helps you. Let me know if you still have any concerns.
