Interview Questions

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why did you choose the HR field?
3. What are your weaknesses and strengths?

These are common questions, but they hold significant value because they provide the interviewer with an idea about your personality, thoughts, and perception of life. Below are a few tips from me:

About Yourself:

Below is a reference answer—please modify it as per your job role: "I'm really energetic and a great communicator. Working in sales for two years helped me build confidence and taught me the importance of customer loyalty. I've also got a track record of success. In my last role, I launched a company newsletter, which helped us build on our existing relationships and create new ones. Because of this, we ended up seeing a revenue increase of 10% over two years. I'm also really interested in how companies can use web tools to better market themselves, and I would be committed to building on your existing platform."

Reason to Choose This Field:

Human Resource is the backbone of any organization. It is very important to provide the right person for management and staff for the better development of an organization and achieving goals. An HR is concerned right from recruiting to selecting a suitable candidate for the right position. That is why I chose the Human Resource field as a profession because I want to work as a key and soul of the organization.

Strength:

This is one of the easier interview questions you'll be asked. When you are asked questions about your strengths, it's important to discuss attributes that will qualify you for the job. The best way to respond is to describe the skills and experience that directly correlate with the job you are applying for.
• When I'm working on a project, I don't want just to meet deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of schedule.
• I have exceeded my sales goals every quarter and I've earned a bonus each year since I started with my current employer.
• My time management skills are excellent, and I'm organized, efficient, and take pride in excelling at my work.
• I pride myself on my customer service skills and my ability to resolve what could be difficult situations.

Weakness:

Please modify as per your need; this is for your reference: "I've never been very comfortable with public speaking—which, as you know, can be a hindrance in the workplace. Realizing this was a problem, I asked my previous employer if I could enroll in a speech workshop. He said 'yes.' I took the class and was able to overcome my lifelong fear. Since then, I've given lots of presentations to audiences of over 100 high-level executives—I still don't love it, but no one else can tell!"

All the Best!!
