Regarding Maternity Leave [Thread 496640]

Dear Sir,
Can we avail maternity leave against sickness arising out of pregnancy or for leave for Doctor's consultation through out the maternity period.

You can have leave for sickness arising out of pregnancy( max 30 days for sickness arising out of pregnancv and delivery taken together) .but not for consultation.

As Mr.Varghese mathey is said is correct. The maternity is a statutory leave it has to be utilized only during the preceding and succeeding period of delivery and but not for any consultancy.
