Understanding the Projected Industrial DA Increase from April 2014: What Does It Mean for You?

Dear friends, as you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.04.2014 for the 2007 and 1997 scales are 88.4% and 218.1% respectively. With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of March 2014 and April 2014, the projected Industrial DA from 01.04.2014 will be 90.7% (an increase of 2.3%) and 221.1% (an increase of 4%) respectively.

Note: The AICPI for May 2014 is yet to be released. The final figures may vary accordingly.

With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of March, April, and May 2014, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.04.2014 will be 91.3% (an increase of 2.9%) and 223% (an increase of 4.9%) respectively.
