Dear Raman,
Performance Appraisal (PA) is old hat. You need to evolve to Performance Management System (PMS). Not that PA does not serve purpose but then it always creates room for employee dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction also results because of the perceptual differences. You may institute well-designed, structure and very organised PMS in your company. It brings a cultural change in your company.
