Seeking Advice: Which Safety Research Areas Should I Explore for My M.Tech Project?

Dear seniors, I am currently pursuing an M.Tech in Information Security Engineering at NIT Trichy. I am interested in conducting my M.Tech project in the field of safety, focusing on areas such as fire load, ergonomics, vibrations, chemical processes, and construction safety. Please suggest research areas that have potential based on existing research gaps in the current scenario. It would be beneficial for my future endeavors in the industry. Dear Himasagar, 1. Though fire load, vibrations, and ergonomics are good, they limit your work by centering on very specific areas. Of these, ergonomics may be preferred for today’s lifestyle, as occupational diseases are mostly from ergonomic issues which we are yet to realize. There is scope for better project work with it.

2. Chemical Process Safety and Construction Safety

Chemical process safety and construction safety are two equally important and vast areas with imminent scope. If you are quite inquisitive, like to accept challenges, and are hardworking, I will advise you to opt for one of these subjects. You will be able to do a wonderful project.

You would be better off choosing either chemical process safety or construction safety. Both areas have a larger scope.
