Hi,
I have total 2+ years exp in the HR field. I was working in an IT co. but I had to leave that co. for some reason. Recently I joined a call center for the same HR profile. I am really confused whether I have taken a good decision or not. Will please someone tell me if i work as an HR executive in a call center is the experience counted & how is the future prospective??

It is not the vertical you work in that is important, but the nature and type of work you are doing.
If you are satisfied with your job profile, and it is widening your horizons, keep working.

As I understand, many HR functions would remain the same. Such as employee relations, recruitment, compliance, employee engagement etc. In that case, why the experience wouldn't be counted?
Are you looking at a BPO fro ma prejudiced mindset? There are many reasons people don't want to work in a call centre/BPO. It's work pressure, different environment, shift timings etc. My own example, I donot want to do a night or a panzer shift hence that deters me from working in a call centre/BPO.

Hi,
Working in a BPO or call Centers would not make any difference but it matters that in what profile are you working. I am associated with an international BPO an I am in HR- Employee Relations profile and its been almost 4+ years working with the same company. KRAs remains the same except the industry.
If you talk about the industry, it is the only industry where you will find new challenges everyday. Your profile matters not industry.
Don't get confused, you have a right decision.
Thanks,.
