I had joined a new real estate group more than a month ago. I was working as Manager Admin & EA to directors. There were 5-6 Directors in the company. I was handling HR as well and involved in Branding activities too as there was nobody joined in marketing department.
There was a female on front office who was not regular to office and giving interviews here & there. One of our director received a reference check call from some company regarding here employment with us, after that they had a discussion with her and wanted her to resign ASAP. Though she did not resigned and continue with work for another few days. She applied for 6 day leave. Other directors in the company had a discussion with her and told me to send her a termination letter.
I find termination very rude but shoot an email mentioning "the discussion you had with management, they had decided to relieve you from your services as FOE"
The day she was in office for handover she was misbehaving with almost everyone present in office. Using bad words for company and about me with visitors sitting on reception. We explain this thing in front of director available in office. He simply told us to ignore her. That was quite impossible for us, but still we follow what our boss wanted us to.
She handed over stuff and leave office in next two hours. Just after few minutes she left from office, i received text messages from her number to the number allotted via company to me. Messages were abusive and threatening. I was shocked as this was very heartening. I talk to my directors on phone and inform about this to them. They want me to call the consultant immediately and explain things to him too. I did the same. Consultant suggested me to file a police complaint against her on my own and he also mention that what all help i required, he will do surely.
My question is Why the hell Company did not take any single action against her. What will company is responsible for?
I was in office next day to understand if company is doing anything against her or in my favor. I spent whole day asking and explaining the same to them that what if any other employee will do the same with me? What is the security company is giving to their employees and what about females?.
They were asking me to suggest what to do. i suggested them to call that girl in office and ask for Apology letter. But the consultant shocked me with the statement he gave, he said
"that company will not do anything for you, if you wanted to file a police complaint against her you can on your own, and if you do not wanted to continue with us then ask for full and final settlement we will do that for you". He also mentioned "it was you who found those messages threatening then go and sit home you will be safe"
And in that moment i told all three of them (directors & consultant) that i will regret that i was a part of this company and i am not going to continue.
I was not going to office, and was in touch of one of the director for handover process. Handed over stuff i had of that company. Same day i received an email regarding my termination due to my absence without informing official authorities.
Please suggest something i wanted to reply by writing a very strong mail. Also i still have those abusive and threatening messages in my mobile phone.
