Applicability Of Sales Promotion Act To FMCG Company

Dear Sir,
ours is a FMCG Distribution company . we have more than 300 sales executives. labour inspector is saying that Sales Executives are governed under Sales Promotion Act. can you help me whether we are coming under this Act

Originally the act was limited to Pharma companies.
However, there was a notification 3-4 years ago that extended the applicability to many more industries.
You need to check that notification. I think FMCG company are included

The notification no SO 217(E) dated Jan 31, 2011 has 10 new catagories that have to be covered.
Please check whether your company comes in any of those 10.
