Is 6 Years and 5 Months of Service Considered 7 Years for Gratuity?

Kindly let me know if an employee who has served for 6 years and 5 months is considered to have completed 7 years or not.

This is a very hypothetical question because it's in the middle, so it depends on the employer how they will consider it, either as 6 or 7.

From a gratuity point of view, no, it will not be considered as 7 years; but as 6 years only. If he completes 6 years and 6 months, then he qualifies for 7-year consideration.
