Epf Not Deducted

sumanbaner
My wife is a teacher in a local private school and her salary is 5000 monthly. She get the salary by cash. But her school doesn't deduct any PF for any employee. There are over 40 employees in the school. Is it normal? Or is the School violating any rule? Please advise.

Dear Sumanbaner
On the day the strength is above 20 the EPF Coverage is mandatory.
The school authorities are taking high risk.

Thank you Ramakant.
Also, is there any legal loop hole that the school might be taking advatage of? Do you know? We are planning to send a legal show cause notice. So doing utmost research before doing that.
Apex Management
Mr. Sumanbaner,
Are you sure the School have obtained registration under the EPF &MP Act, 1952. If yes, then they might be depriving few employees from the benefit of the Act and all the employees if the reply is negative.
In both the cases, just submit a complaint to the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner and Area Enforcement Officer of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation either severally or jointly mentioning name and complete address of the school, your date of joining, rate of pay etc. and appropriate action will be taken by the authority concerned.

Dear Mr.Sumanbaner / Mr.P.K.Sharma,
All these educational institutes are opened under the baner of Charitable Trust and doing so many unethical things.
I had so many organisations performing under the sugarcoated name charitable educational trust are playing with the teaching as well as non teaching staff.
Ultimately that effects if the students carrier.
The needy staff are continuing the job without any complaint. It is great that Mr.Sumanbaner shown the resistance. Congrats Sir.
