Volunteers Needed for The Lighthouse Project in Mumbai

myronanthony
Hi, I am the Project Manager for The Lighthouse Project based in Mumbai. The Lighthouse Project is a youth mentoring program that connects college students and working professionals with children from under-resourced communities through one-on-one mentoring. The idea is for the mentors to serve as positive role models for the children and help develop their life skills and social skills while exposing them to a world outside of their community. The commitment is only 4 hours a month from August to March. In September 2013, we started our first batch of mentors, connecting 30 mentors to 30 street children from Salaam Baalak Trust. You can follow our activities at www.facebook.com/lighthouseprojectindia. This year starting in August, we are expanding to 150 mentors and are looking for more mentors (volunteers). Also, we would love to explore the possibility of partnering with organizations that would want to make it a part of their CSR activities. Those interested could log on to [Welcome to Lighthouse | Lighthouse](http://www.lighthouseproject.in) to apply! Do spread the word among your friends and colleagues. Thanks.
