Choosing the Right Title for a Small IT Team Leader: Suggestions Needed

Hello everybody,

I work for a start-up IT company. Our team consists of just three software engineers. Among these three, we have decided to promote one of them as the leader. Since the team is so small, I was hesitant to give him the title of Team Lead. Could you suggest some titles that could be his designation? Also, kindly suggest if Lead Product Engineer is a good title.

Are these guys experienced? If not, you can give the title as Jr. SDE, i.e., Jr. Software Development Engineer, and SDE, i.e., Software Development Engineer. If yes, the best title for a leader is Sr. SDE.
