Any contribution paid into the PF account is liable to be received back with due interest. However, if you do not withdraw the amount within three years, the account will be considered inactive or dormant, and no interest will be payable thereafter.

Thank you.

Hi, thanks to both of you for your help. The problem is, his company's HR has denied any claim. He was informed that he has not worked for 6 months; hence, he cannot claim for PF. Kindly suggest what he should do?

Thanks again.

Thank you, Mr. Ramnarayan, for your reply. The issue is that his company does not provide him with a salary slip, so he does not know his PF number. Can he obtain the same through any other means?

Thank you once again.

Go to the EPFO website, then click on Establishment Search. Provide the required information. Once you locate your establishment, you will find the Region Code, Office Code, Establishment Code, and Establishment Extension. Note these down on a piece of paper. Proceed to click on the last column labeled payment, where you will find details of payments made for all employees. Click on the "No. of employees" column to access a list of all employees in your establishment. Look for your name, and the Sr. No. will be your employee code.

Hi Dipak, First, he has to know his PF account number, and then he can transfer it to his present account.
