Is My Employer's Delay in PF Deposits Affecting My Full Withdrawal? Seeking Clarity

I am new to CiteHR, but I am a regular reader of CiteHR discussions. I am in need of clarity, so kindly help me.

I have been working with my current employer for the past 1.7 years. However, when I downloaded my PF E-Passbook, I noticed that my employer has only deposited the PF contribution until August 2013. In this case, am I eligible to receive any interest or damages from my employer? I assume that I will be resigning from my company and getting relieved next month. When I close my PF account, will I receive my full PF amount until next month, or will I only receive the amount deposited by my employer?

Kindly help me understand, please.

Thanks

Thank you very much for your reply. I also checked with a finance team member during a general conversation, and he mentioned that the company hasn't deposited the PF amount for any employee since August 2013.

Please do not be cheered up by your findings that the "company didn't deposit the PF amount for any employee since August 2013." It is a BIG offense to deduct the PF contribution from the employees' wages and not deposit the same with the PF authorities. The Act has laid down heavy penalties for this under Section 14 of the Act. You are advised to approach the PF Authority and file a complaint immediately for relief.
