Permanent Vs Contractual Employment

Mugdhaapte
Please let me know why companies should hire employees on contract rather than on permanent basis?
What are its benefits to the employees on the other hand?

Dear Friend,
Greetings!
Some advantages of contractual employment
1. No need to respect them - Employees wont treat at par.
2. No need to give importance for the contract emplyee
3. Easily thrown out from the office if the management dislike.
4. Low package
It is my views.....

Hi,
Well Said John!
Im on Contract Role... Facing the similar hindrances....
1. Being a Contractor there is on respect for us.... Managers treat us equivalent to Office Boys, infact im qualified more than my Manager...
2. No Salary Slip for Us..
3. No leave facility for us except Weekly off.. Sometimes we work on Saturday & Sundays too.
4. No Clarity & Job Security..
This type of discrimination followed even in CMM level 5 companies..

Hi,
Normally permanent workers are employed on jobs which are of permanent nature, whereas contractual employment is for jobs which are for specific duration.
Employers generally prefer contractual emploment, because of freedom to hire and fire, low wages, and comparative more output.

Hi,
My company wants to take employees on contract for 11 months or so.
Can i take employees on contractaul terms without having a contractor or taking a licence for the same if i take them as consultants and pay them a fees for the same. What if the no of employees goes above 20 but spread across pan india. Do i have to give them PF, ESIC etc if their sal is above Rs. 7,500/- Per month. and what might be the benifits and leagal complications for the same.
If anyone can help me on the same query it will be great.
