Termination On False Base Of Poor Performance

Can a company terminate his 16 years service employee on false base of poor performance????

Company cannot directly terminate an employee for poor performance after serving for 16 years, they have to issue show cause notice and explanation has to be sought and thereafter in absence of non willingness to perform, then only the employee can take a drastic step of termination after completion of all the procedure

thankyou Saji your reply has increased my confidence, letter for only two years yearly increaments stopped issued & begning of third yea company has terminated without following any rules & regulations.

Will the resignation of navy chief duly accepted and so notified and converted to allow him pension which otherwise is not allowed in defence, will become a relief for other defence personnel so far denied even disability pension due to their resigned in any manner. Pl. Advise for benefit of exservicemen.
