Dear Sonam,
Congratulations on landing the project of designing the Induction program for your firm. The goal is to make your new employees functional in 8.5 hours so that they will engage effectively during the induction program.
Structure and Document Alignment
Create a structure and align documents in the Welcome Kit. If your workforce includes blue and white-collar employees, design different orientations for each. You can include the format and content depending on who is attending the program.
Icebreakers and Training Games
Begin with an icebreaker and training games such as names and word association. Follow up your session by asking your participants about their expectations from the training.
Company History and Leadership Introduction
Include the company history in a slideshow or a video, whichever is easier to recall. Share the current functions within the firm. Introduce the leadership team. Invite a top leader to share a few words about the company values and welcome the new employees.
HR Policies and Finance Explanation
Take them through the HR Policies. Explain each one of them, considering that no one will ever read the Employee handbook that you may distribute with the Welcome Kit. Address all questions. If you are not yet an expert in explaining the numbers, include the Finance team to explain the taxation and salary structure. They are the best people to provide a clear picture.
Safety and Plant Tour
Plan for an introductory session by the Safety Team. Nothing beats orientation on Day One. Offer the new hires a tour across the Manufacturing Plant. If possible, have the safety team volunteer for this. They can best explain the standards to be maintained.
Additionally, here's a discussion that would help you understand the design better,

End your session with feedback from the attendees on what they have learned throughout the day!
