How Can I Kickstart My HR Career Without a Post-Graduate Degree? Seeking Advice!

jiyakhan161992@yahoo.com
Hello everyone, this is Jiya from Mumbai. I am new on Cite HR and I have a few queries, so I need help from all you seniors. I am a BMS graduate who passed out in 2013. I then suddenly got an opportunity to work as an HR in a leading BPO. I worked there for almost 6 months, and then I left due to some issues. But I really liked the HR profile where I was involved in recruitment - shortlisting resumes from job portals, conducting telephonic interviews, preparing offer letters, etc.

Career in HR

I want to pursue my career in HR. I can't go for post-graduation because the fees are really high. I want to know about some short-term courses in HR so that I can enter the corporate world. I know experience is mandatory, but still, I can give it a try. If not in a corporate setting, then at least in a reputed firm.

Please provide some good suggestions so that I can make my future bright.

Thanks and Regards,
Jiya Khan

There are some short-term courses available such as PG Dip. in PMIR, PG Dip. in HRM, HRD, and Dip. in Labour Law courses in universities and some institutes. Please search for courses available at TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai) and nearby universities.

You can pursue one-year diploma courses in IR & PM. Many universities and institutes offer this course in both regular and correspondence modes. The fee structure is also affordable.
