May Day Clarification

Sir I got doubt to clear
National holidays like May Day is applicable for workmen, staff and officer or only for workmen

National holidays like May Day if so declared under a statute of your State are applicable to the whole establishment and when the whole establishment needs to be closed on such holidays all those working in the establishment irrespective whetherthey are workmen or managers are entitled to holiday.

May Day is one of the mandatory holidays in Maharashtra (there are 4); as it is Maharashtra Day also. For other states, pls check with concerned labour officer.
